We Give You Something to Smile About
You can tell a lot about the state of your health by how healthy your teeth are.
Dr. Alan Stern and his team will work with you to custom-create a plan for your oral healthcare, based on your needs, desires and budget.
The result: A healthy smile that’s beautiful inside and out.
Our comprehensive roster of services includes:
If you’re missing one or more teeth, you may notice a difference in chewing and speaking. There are options to help restore your smile.
Bridges help maintain the shape of your face and relieve the stress in your bite by replacing missing teeth.
Sometimes called a fixed partial denture, a bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. The restoration can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials and is bonded or cemented onto surrounding teeth for support.
Unlike a removable bridge which you can take out and clean, a fixed bridge can only be removed by a dentist.
Check-ups & Maintenance
IT’S NOT JUST A CLEANING!
If you think about how much you use your mouth every day, it’s amazing how durable it is!
But like anything else in life, it needs maintenance.
At our office, we pride ourselves on the quality of our maintenance visits—because maintenance is so much more than cleaning your teeth!
Here’s what you can expect from us each time you see our hygienist:
- A warm and friendly greeting
- Any necessary X-rays using our very low radiation digital system*
- An opportunity to discuss your concerns
- Blood pressure check
- Oral cancer screening
- An evaluation of your gums
- Screening for sleep breathing disorders
- Examination of your teeth and the muscles of your head and neck
- Removal of harmful deposits from your teeth and gums
- Coaching and encouragement to take optimal care of your teeth, jaws, and gums
- An evaluation by Dr. Stern and an opportunity to discuss your concerns with him as well
*We follow American Dental Association guidelines and recommend X-rays on an individualized basis. We never take a one-size-fits-all approach to this (or anything else we do). For example, people with very healthy mouths will not need to have as many X-rays as people who have a tendency to have dental problems or who have not had regular dental care in a number of years. Regardless of your circumstance, we work diligently to get the most information from the least amount of radiation exposure.
If you are pregnant, we will avoid taking X-rays except in the case of dental emergencies. When those situations arise, we will work with your obstetrician to determine the best and safest course of action for you.
In all cases, your health and safety is our first concern!
Give Your Teeth the Royal Treatment!
A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance.
It can cover and support a tooth with a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth left. It can be used to attach a bridge, protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that’s already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped. It’s also used to cover a dental implant.
Today’s modern materials enable us to create crowns that restore your teeth to optimal function with great aesthetics.
Dentures used to be thought of as the final defeat in the battle against dental disease. 21st century technology and training offer tremendous hope for people who have lost or are facing the loss of their natural teeth.
We use only premium denture teeth which offer unparalleled strength and aesthetics. We customize the shape and color of your denture teeth. There is no one-size-fits all approach at our office and we take the time to be sure that you get the most natural looking result possible in your denture.
The really great news about dentures is that implants can be used to stabilize your dentures. We can use any number of dental implants to stabilize a denture so you can speak, smile, and chew with confidence. Additionally, emerging technology had made it possible to fix a denture to four implants and create a beautiful denture that does not come out!
Of course, it is always better to go through life with your natural teeth. But if a denture is your only choice, the options today are nothing less than amazing.
Dental implants offer state-of-the-art treatment for people who are missing one or more teeth. Dr. Stern and his surgical team can plan, place, and restore implants to optimal esthetics and function. Implants can replace single or multiple teeth. They also offer hope to denture wearers who seek improved stability and function in their dentures.
Today’s implant technology offers many options to people missing one, several, or all teeth. Almost anything is possible with dental implants and we can create an implant-based solution to almost any budget.
At Dr. Stern’s office, we never take a one-size-fits-all approach; we will go over all your options and will help you find the implant solution to meet your unique needs.
Crowded teeth? Extra spacing?
Invisalign could be part of your treatment. Invisalign is a breakthrough technology that lets you get the smile you’ve always wanted without bands, brackets or wires.
This treatment option uses invisible, clear aligners that straighten your teeth little by little, week by week, until they have moved to the final position Dr. Stern prescribed.
Invisalign can take about a year from start to finish. Simple cases take less time; more complex cases can take more time. When you have this treatment with us, you’ll see Dr. Stern every few weeks to see how you are progressing. As treatment progresses, you’ll be given new aligners.
An invisible treatment option, Invisalign won’t draw attention to your mouth while you are undergoing treatment. And, you can remove the aligners to eat, drink, brush and floss as usual.
Talk to Dr. Stern. Invisalign may be the answer to your smile goals!
Today, you CAN have the smile you want, even if you’re not rich and famous. Whether your teeth are disfigured, missing, or discolored, we can create a new look that is healthy, comfortable, functional, and esthetic.
If you want a change in your smile, the first thing we will do is listen to you. We’ll take photographs of your mouth along with other detailed records and discuss your goals and objectives. Once we arrive at a plan that makes sense to you, we’ll use our training, experience, and expertise to deliver a great looking smile that is healthy and functions well.
Veneers are thin, custom fitted facings designed to cover the outside surfaces of unattractive teeth. This can be the ideal procedure to improve the appearance of the front teeth by masking discolorations and other problems. Made of today’s lifelike porcelain, veneers are highly resistant to staining from coffee, tea, or even cigarette smoke. In many cases, veneers can also be a viable, minimally invasive alternative to crowns.
You can consider veneers if:
- You have chipped front teeth
- You have discolored teeth
- You have gaps between your teeth
Everyone wants whiter teeth. And most everyone can have whiter teeth that stay white for a very long time.
At our office, we offer three types of whitening services to fit many different needs and budgets.
For an easy, economical improvement, we offer Tres White, a set of pre-formed whitening trays pre-loaded with some of the finest whitening solution available.
For a more customized treatment, we will take impressions of your mouth and create whitening trays fitted for you. We will then provide you with whitening gel (and desensitizer if necessary) to take home. Two hours a day for a week or two gives beautiful results. And you keep the trays for touch ups every few months!
For the ultimate whitening experience, we offer the KOR whitening system. In addition to custom whitening trays, we add an in – office power bleaching at the end of your treatment for the whitest result possible. KOR whitening, in our estimation, is about as good as it gets.
